Pastor: Emmanuel Lutheran is in pastoral transition. We are blessed to have among our members three ordained ELCA pastors and a candidate for Ministry of Word and Sacrament in the North Carolina synod. Sunday morning worship leadership during this transition is provided by these faithful leaders. Pastoral care is provided by the congregation of loving people and one of our pastors as needed.

Jacqueline Canter, Director of Choirs~ Jacqueline earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in voice performance and music education at East Carolina University. She has performed in a variety of operatic and musical theatre roles, and has served as an artistic director, music director, actress, featured soprano soloist, and recitalist. In addition, she taught music in public schools in both Greene and Burke counties. In addition to her responsibilities at Emmanuel, Ms. Canter is currently a member of the voice faculties at High Point University and Greensboro College

Ford Ewaldsen, Organist~ Ford earned a BA in Music with concentration in organ from Newberry College, Newberry, S.C. and a MSM (Master of Sacred Music) from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. He has been an organist and choir director for the past 38 years serving in both Lutheran and Methodist churches in the High Point area. He has also accompanied local artist in the Piedmont Artist Concert series in High Point and is a member of the American Guild of Organists. He is a member of The Association of Lutheran Church Musicians.
